บทคัดย่อ (EN): Introduction of new clones with superior qualities is essential for product improvement. Variation in the quality of raw natural rubber causes serious problem in-terms of raw material for rubber product manufacture. Therefore Properties of fractioned bleached crepe rubber (FB) from 12 Hevea clones newly introduced by Sri Lanka have been studied. Ten clones from RRISL 200 series & two clones from RRISL 2000 series were compared with popular clone RRIC 100 & RRIC 121. Twelve clones were selected from three different locations Kuruwita substation of RRISL, Pallegoda estate & Galewatta division of Dartonfield estate. Lattices collected under standard conditions from about 150 trees of each clone and processed into fractioned bleached latex crepe (FB) & tested for raw rubber properties i.e. lovibond colour, Initial plasticity (Po), Plasticity retention index (PRI), Mooney viscosity (VR), Percentage of nitrogen & ash content. Clonal differences have been observed in all most all the properties examined. Possible influences of various raw rubber components and other factors on the variability of some of the properties discussed. Most of the clones gave medium to hard rubbers in terms of Mooney viscosity and plasticity number. RRISL 203 shows high Po and Mooney viscosity value with low Lovibond colour index. But RRISL 202 showed low Po and Mooney viscosity value with high Lovibond colour index. All the other raw rubber properties are lying within the specification limits.
