บทคัดย่อ: วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการวิจัยนี้ เพื่อต้องการศึกษาพื้นฐานการศึกษาของประชากรในบริเวณป่าสักใต้ (ได้แก่ บริเวณ จังหวัดอยุธยา ปทุมธานี สระบุรี) การให้บริการทางการศึกษาแก่ประชากร และความสัมพันธ์ของสภาวะแวดล้อมที่มีต่อการศึกษาของประชากร กลุ่มตัวอย่างประชากรที่ใช้ในการวิจัย ได้แก่ ผู้บริหารโรงเรียนระดับประถมศึกษา ครูและผู้ปกครองนักเรียนในชุมชน โดยใช้วิธีการสุ่มแบบง่าย เครื่องมือที่ใช้คือ แบบสอบถาม และแบบสัมภาษณ์ ข้อมูลที่ได้ทั้งหมด ได้นำมาวิเคราะห์โดยวิธีการหาค่าร้อยละ และค่าเฉลี่ย ผลการวิจัย พบว่าสภาพการศึกษาของกลุ่มประชากร มีปัญหาคล้ายคลึงกับผลการวิจัยอื่น ๆ ที่ผ่านมาในหลาย ๆ ด้าน ปัญหาสำคัญที่พบ คือ สภาวะแวดล้อมทางการศึกษาของประชาการในเขตป่าสักใต้ ไม่สัมพันธ์กับความคิดเห็นและสภาพความเป็นจริงของประชากร กล่าวคือ ประชากรมีความคิดเห็นต่อการศึกษาในทางที่ดี แต่ผู้ให้บริการการศึกษาไม่มีความคล่องตัวในการอำนวยประโยชน์ และผู้รับบริการก็ไม่อาจใช้ประโยชน์ทางการศึกษาให้สอดคล้องกับการดำเนินชีวิตประจำวันเพื่อพัฒนาตนเอง และท้องถิ่นตามสภาพแวดล้อมที่เป็นอยู่
บทคัดย่อ (EN): The purpose of this research were to study the educational background of the population in the lower Pasak irrigation zone (In the area of Ayuthaya, Patoomthani and Saraburi province) the educational service offered by the government and the relationships between the environment and the eduation of the population. The subjects of the study were elementary school administrators, teachers, parents in the community which were drawn out by stratified random sampling techniques. A questionnaires and an interview sheet were used as the instruments for data collection. The obtained data were analyzed by means of percentage and arithmetic mean. The findings were as follows: Educational background of the population in this region has similar problems to other related researches in many aspects. The important one is that educational environment of the population in this area has no relationship to their opinions and real situation. Their opinions concerning education are generally good but the educational service provided by the government are insufficient and cannot be used in harmony with their everyday living so that they can improve themselves and develop their own environment.
