บทคัดย่อ (EN): Data were gthered from 153 field workers answering questionaires. Of these people 23 of them also provided additional information by indept-interview.This type of interview as also used with 15 middle level of highland officer at the district level and 16 high level officers of divisional director position at provincial and central office in Bangkok. In addition the study examined a sample of various types of media for highland work, for which a total of 364 items can be listed, by using 7 indicators. The study found that the existing media for field workers may be inadequate as these people used or owned, by average 2.47 books. 1.16 posters, 1.54 slide sets and 1.48 VDO cassettes. Thes media were relevant to the highland. As a result, they were neither informative nor practical. T-test was employed among independent variable (field level, sex, age, educational attainment, working experiences, and organizational work) and dependent variables (the need for knowledge on certain groups of knowledge). Some keys significant differences were found in many issues for examples female wanted to know more about narcotic issues than male; those younger than 32 year old felt the need to know more of fast growing trees and forestry than the older.
