บทคัดย่อ: การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ เพื่อศึกษาศักยภาพของผู้สูงอายุในด้านการนําภูมิปัญญาการ นวด และการประคบสมุนไพรมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ การถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญาของผู้สูงอายุและ แนวโน้มการนําเอาภูมิปัญญาการนวด และการประคบสมุนไพรรวมถึงเสนอแนะแนวทางในการนํา ความรู้ของผู้สูงอายุมาใช้ให้เกิดประโยชน์ในอนาคต โดยการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลปฐมภูมิ (Primary Data) จากผู้ให้มูลที่สําคัญ จํานวน 15 คน ซึ่งแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มผู้ที่เคยประกอบอาชีพหรือประกอบอาชีพ เป็นหมอนวดและหมอประคบสมุนไพรจํานวน 12 คนและกลุ่มผู้ใช้บริการจํานวน 3 คนโดยใช้วิธีการ สัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก (In-depth Interview) พร้อมกับการสังเกต (Observation) แบบมีส่วนร่วม ประกอบกับการศึกษาข้อมูลทุติยภูมิ (Secondary Data) ซึ่งเป็นทั้งเอกสารและงานวิจัยต่างๆที่ เกี่ยวข้องในการนําเอามาวิเคราะห์ร่วมในเชิงพรรณนาในการอธิบายผลการศึกษา สามารถสรุปได้ ดังนี้ ศักยภาพการนําภูมิปัญญาไปใช้ หมอนวดและหมอประคบสมุนไพรสูงอายุยังมีศักยภาพใน การนําภูมิปัญญาไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้ ด้วยเหตุผล ดังนี้ สอดคล้องกับวิถีชีวิตของคนไทย การเดินทาง สะดวกและประหยัดค่าใช้จ่าย เพิ่มทางเลือกในการรักษาในกรณีที่แพทย์แผนใหม่วินิจฉัยว่าไม่ สามารถรักษาได้ เช่น อัมพาต ความชํานาญในการรักษาที่เกิดจากการสั่งสมประสบการณ์มาเป็น ระยะเวลานาน การมีคุณธรรมในการรักษา และนโยบายการส่งเสริมภูมิปัญญาท้องถิ่นของผู้สูงอายุ และนโยบายพัฒนาการแพทย์แผนไทยของรัฐบาล ลักษณะการถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญามีดังนี้ 1) เน้นการทําให้ดูเป็นแบบ 2) เน้นการให้ทดลอง ปฏิบัติจริง ขั้นตอนการถ่ายทอดความรู้ ได้แก่ 1) ขั้นตอนในการตัดสินใจถ่ายทอดความรู้ 2) ขั้นตอน ในการสังเกตพฤติกรรมของผู้มาขอเรียนก่อนที่จะถ่ายทอดความรู้โดยละเอียดให้ 3) ขั้นตอนในการ ถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญาที่ละเอียดซึ่งจะถ่ายทอดความรู้ในส่วนของการรักษาโรคที่แพทย์แผนปัจจุบัน วินิจฉัยว่าไม่สามารถรักษาได้ และแนวโน้มการนําไปใช้ในอนาคตนั้น พบว่า ผู้สูงอายุในอนาคตจะมี การใช้ประโยชน์จากการนวดแผนไทยและการประคบสมุนไพรอย่างต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากกลุ่ม ผู้รับบริการโดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกลุ่มคนวัยทํางานที่จะเป็นผู้สูงอายุในอนาคตได้มีปริมาณการใช้บริการที ค่อนข้างมีความถี่สูงมีการแนะนําบอกต่อให้คนรู้จักและคนในครอบครัวไปใช้บริการ และสนใจรับรู้ ข้อมูลข่าวสารต่าง ๆ อีกด้วย ข้อเสนอแนะสําหรับการวิจัยในครั้งต่อไป ในการศึกษาครั้งต่อไป ควรทําการศึกษา เรื่องการ ส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตโดยนําเอาภูมิปัญญาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสุขภาพของผู้สูงอายุด้านต่างๆ มาสร้างความ เข้มแข็งให้กับผู้สูงอายุในการดํารงชีวิตในสังคมโลกาภิวัตน์
