บทคัดย่อ (EN): The study about the possibility of using a genetic marker to aid in specific combining ability (SCA) selection was the main purpose of the current study. Five microsatellites (MCW0043, MCW0106, LEI0169, LEI0194, ADL0351) on chromosome 1 which used to report that they associated with QTL of a growth traits, were used as genetic marker and analyze the association with the dominant effect of body weight of crossbred chicken, Korat chicken, KR was carried on as the preliminary study. One hundred and ninety- five of KR chickens were genotyped. Dominant effect from 4 generations of KR were estimated and the effect of KRs which have genotype data were used to analyze the association between dominant effect and microsatellite. A significant association between ADL0351 and the dominant effect of body weight at 6, 8, 10 weeks was observed. From the results can suggest that it is possible to use a genetic marker to aid in specific combining ability (SCA) selection.
