บทคัดย่อ (EN): This study was aimed to investigate the effects of feeding types on the efficiency and cost structure of indigenous chicken in a semi-intensive raising system. Data was collected from 10 farmers each raising 320 birds of indigenous chicken broilers in a semi-intensive type where there was a hut for chickens to shade themselves from the sun and for nighttime. Farmers were divided into two groups based on feeding management; group 1 farmers fed the birds with commercial feed containing 17% protein; and group 2 farmers who gave the birds commercial feed containing 17% protein but with additional mashed corn seeds at 3:1 ratio resulting to 15.2% protein. The chickens in both groups were fed twice in a day and average weight, growth rate and mortality rate were found not significantly different between the two groups but chicken in the group fed with commercial feed together with mashed corn seeds at 3:1 ratio gave a cost structure for production at 12.82% and added a return to production cost of 8.56%.
