บทคัดย่อ: การศึกษาเรื่อง การลดต้นทุนการทดลองบรรจุสินค้าด้วยโปรแกรมสนับสนุนการตัดสินใจ มีวัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาถึงต้นทุนที่เสียไปกับการทดลองบรรจุสินค้าเข้าตู้สินค้าด้วยคนงานก่อนการบรรจุตู้สินค้าจริงเพื่อให้เกิดความคุ้มค่าที่สุดต่อหน่วยการขนส่งด้วยการขนส่งมากที่สุด ลักษณะของปัญหาคือต้องมีการทดลองบรรจุและจัดเรียงสินค้าเข้าตู้สินค้าก่อนวันที่จะบรรจุสินค้าจริง โดยการจำลองสถานการณ์เพื่อกำหนดวิธีที่ทำให้ขนส่งได้มากที่สุดก่อนการขนส่งแต่ละครั้ง อย่างไรก็ตามการจำลองสถานการณ์ด้วยการทดลองจริงต้องมีค่าใช้จ่ายต่างๆ ทั้งด้านค่าใช้จ่าย กำลังคน และเวลาที่เสียไปในการลองผิดลองถูก (Trial and Error) เกิดขึ้น ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้ต้นทุนของบริษัทเพิ่มสูงมากขึ้นด้วยในโครงการศึกษาอิสระนี้จึงได้พัฒนาโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์สนับสนุนการตัดสินใจ (Decision Support System : DSS) เพื่อตัดสินใจเลือกวิธีการจัดเรียงและบรรจุสินค้าเข้าตู้สินค้าโดยพิจารณาจากวิธีการจัดเรียงและบรรจุมาตรฐานที่ได้จัดทำขึ้น ขึ้นใช้แทนการทดลองจริง โดยโปรแกรมเขียนด้วยภาษาวิชวลเบสิก และบรรจุสินค้าได้อย่างมีประสิท ธิภาพและรวดเร็ว ในการทดลองใช้งานพบว่าทำให้สามารถลดจำนวนผู้ปฏิบัติงานจริงจาก 9 คน เหลือเพียง 1 คน เท่านั้น อีกทั้งยังสามารถช่วยลดเวลาในการปฏิบัติงานซึ่งผลที่ได้นี้ส่งผลต่อการลดค่าใช้จ่ายได้ถึง 100% เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับวิธีการทำงานแบบเดิม จึงสรุปได้ว่าการแก้ปัญหาตามแนวทางของการศึกษาครั้งนี้ประสบผลสำเร็จเป็นอย่างดี และจะได้ผลดีมากยิ่งขึ้นหากมีการพัฒนาโปรแกรมอย่างต่อเนื่องต่อไป
บทคัดย่อ (EN): This study presents a development and implementation of a decision support system (DSS) for an appropriate stuffing of tires in containers so that trial and error cost can be reduced. The situation encountered is that operators have to find a stuffing method of tires by manually packing them into a container prior to actual delivery date. This process consumes both operating time and budget which consequently leads to the arising of product cost.The DSS developed in the study is written in Visual Basic language and can be used in selecting the appropriate stuffing method of tires from the pre-determined standard of stuffing without having manual trials. The use of the DSS has resulted in reduction of men power for stuffing from 9 to 1 while the manual trial and error cost could be reduced 100% compared to without using it. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the DSS developed in this study has satisfactorily solved the problem and its contribution can be even greater if further development is performed to widen the use of DSS in varieties of stuffing environment.
