บทคัดย่อ (EN): Fusicoccum leaf blight is a new disease first detected in late 1980s in Johor, Malaysia. In 2003, the disease was detected in three year old plantation at Kuala Kangsar, Perak infecting several RRIM 2000 series clones. Clone RRIM 2025 was severely affected with 30% - 80% defoliation. Meanwhile, clones RRIM 2001, RRIM 2002 and RRIM 2024 had suffered with mild infection. In laboratory test, benomyl, carbendazim and propiconazole fungicides were effective against the pathogen. The disease was controlled by spraying of benomyl and propiconazole fungicides. Nowadays the reports on the disease have been continuously increasing at other locations in Malaysia.
