บทคัดย่อ (EN): This study was concentrated in fighting and meat type of Thai native chickens which are both well known for Thai local people. Thirteen morphological characteristics were measured in 40 meat types and 40 fighting types of chickens with both sexes by Vernier carliper. The differences between two types were analyzed by Principle component analysis (PCA) and multivariate analysis. PCA showed that male meat type and male fighting type were clearly separated from the other as seen similarly in female, although the latter were not highly separated. Four characteristics in fighting chickens; beak length, beak-nap length, tarsal length, and third digit length were significantly different from meat type due to its characteristics were suitable for fighting. On the other hand, comb length, comb height, and spur length in meat type were larger than fighting type because these characteristics didn’t support fighting.
