บทคัดย่อ (EN): The Northeast of Thailand is an area where a lot of cassava is grown, which is the main occupation of farmers. The Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture has encouraged farmers to raise the eri silk in the Northeast area to provide additional income for the farmers. And used to produce silk threads for weaving various fabrics eri silk thread production process. it was found that the problem was the thorns at the open head are too long and hit the fluff to spin up the silk thread cleaning the eri silk cocoons takes a long time. The objective is to allow farmers to build a large number of eri silk cocoons fibers at a time and twisted into eri silk threads for weaving. Therefore, a carding machine and a silk twisting machine were developed for eri silk. in 2018 to 2019 at the Queen Sirikit Department of Sericulture and Mechatronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University. The results of the study designed an eri silk cocoon carding machine, measuring 60 cm wide, 100 cm long and 70 cm high. The structure is made of steel measuring 3 x 3 cm. And the cap of the cocoon nest is made of stainless steel, thickness 1.0 mm, diameter, length 25 cm, width 410 mm. Wrapped around with nails thorns. The power transmission of the cocoon head uses a 3-phase motor, 2 horsepower, can adjust the rotation speed. Use an inverter control the motor speed of the rolling teeth. To make it easy to use adjust the speed as needed and use a dimmer to adjust the speed of the cocoon feeder There is a safety system which will cut off the power when the cap cover is opened. From the 1 hour continuous feeding eri silk cocoon combing test, the average rate of 526 grams per hour of eri cocoons by working continuously for 6 hours, The carding machine can carding cocoon sheet 3,156 grams of Eri silk per day compared to burning or tying the Eri fibers by hand which normally will do only 1,500 grams per day. Characteristics of fibers that are well distributed and can reduce the problems in the production of eri silk fibers for farmers well. The cost of the carding Eri cocoon machine costs 80,000 baht, the labor cost is 300 baht per day for labor to feed the Eri cocoons, farmers can pay back their capital in a period of 0.88 years or about 11 months. Eri silk twisting machine is designed suitable for use, easy to install, can spin up eri silk thread and can twist silk threads. The eri silk twisting machine has automatic rotation control and hand spinning control system. The components are structured in stainless steel. That is strong, durable, does not rust, by the size of the machine. (Width x Length x Height) is 27x90x27 cm and partially covered with shiny stainless steel sheet, thickness 0.1 cm. Use a gear motor that can adjust the speed according to the needs of the user. The silk collection acts to distribute the threads so that the threads do not overlap at the same point too. The control box contains the motor speed control device. Foot switch button is designed to be used both automatically and setting by people foot switch button installed on the floor, choose the location according to the user's aptitude. Eri silk twisted set table by installed at the bottom of the machine can be folded and unfolded and equipped with wheels for easy movement. Made of stainless steel, eri silk twisting machine height is 46 cm above the floor. And cotton fibers by continuing to spin for 1 hour by using a spinning tester with spinning skills. It was found that using eri silk yarn was able to spun the maximum length of 127.02 meters and spinning with the factory sliver cotton fibers at the maximum length of 100.60 meters, and it was found that the maximum number of threads in one meter at the speed around 10 rpm is equal to 910 threads per meter. The number of threads can be controlled by the speed of the thread ejector. Which the eri silk twisted machine can work well get more quantity of eri silk thread and control the number of threads as needed as well. Cost of eri silk twisting machine price 80,000 baht, the labor cost is 300 baht per day for twisting eri silk, can pay back the farmers' capital in 0.10 years or about 1.5 months.
