บทคัดย่อ (EN): Natural rubber and crude oil are two kinds of important industries raw material. The paper conducts study on the correlation of the world NR and crude oil price between 1988 and 2005. The method used in our study is known as correlation analysis. By analyzed the NR prices and oil prices, it is discovered that the correlation of the world NR price and crude oil price ischanged in the different period. The correlation coefficient of NR and oil prices is -0.9492 during 1988-1990, the coefficient is 0.8369 during 1991-1993; it is only -0.0813 during 1994-1997; it is 0.8352 during 1998-2005. The correlation changes from negative correlation, positive correlation, almost irrelevance to positive correlation. We conclude that the correlation of the NR prices and crude-oil prices become more and more strong with the economy’s development.
