บทคัดย่อ (EN): The low rubber price as well as the rising production cost that happened currently would affect the income of smallholders and rubber plantation. One effort that could be conducted by tapping opening. The aim of this study was to get the formulation of tapping opening with the dynamic of production cost and rubber price. This study used quick starter clones (PB 260 and IRR 118), moderate clones (PR 261 and BPM 24) and slow starter clones (RRIC 100). The analysis showed that when rubber pricesfell from US$ 2,4 per kg to US$ 1,64 per kg and production costs rose from Rp. 10.162.473 to Rp. 21.449.084, quick starter clones (PB 260 and 118 IRR) reached BEP with tapping maturity of 38% (210 trees) and 55% (305 trees), respectively. For moderate clones (PR 261 and BPM 24) reached BEP with tapping maturity of 64% (354 trees), 75% (414 trees), respectively; whereas for slow starter clones (RRIC 100) reached BEP with tapping maturity of 89% (495 trees). In order to reach the R/C value of 1.3, plantation could establish the quick starter (PB 260) with the percentage of tapping maturity respectively 49% for IRR 118, PR 261 and BPM 24 decreased revenues from R/C of 1.30 into R/C 1.10 by tapping mature gardens to be achieved is 61%, 70% and 82%. Clones RRIC 100 R/C also decreased revenues from R/C of 1.30 into R/C of 1.05 with tapping mature garden that is 94% higher. Based on the sensitivity analysis when an increase in production costs and a decline in rubber prices respectively by 10 percent, PB 260 clone could produce R/C value of 1.30 with the percentage of tapping maturity by 57%.
