บทคัดย่อ (EN): A total of 102,553 dengue cases were reported in Thailand as of 16 October 2019. These infection rates were 1.5 times higher than that reported during the same period in 2018. Insecticides is still the principal method to control dengue vectors, especially in dengue endemic areas. Using personal protection such as household aerosol insecticides is essential in providing protection and reducing discomfort caused by the bite of dengue vectors. Our team collected bioefficacy test data of aerosol insecticide products that analyzed by a laboratory glass chamber method which is ISO17025 certified. A total of 183 samples submitted by the insecticides manufacturers in Thailand in the last six years (2013-2018) were recorded. For samples of 183, 119 samples were passed the test criteria (65.02%) and all the passed samples had 100% mortality of test mosquitoes and KT50 values were found to be 2-4 mins for most samples. The majority of active ingredients used in the samples based on pyrethroid group were imiprothrin, permethrin, prallethrin, cypermethrin, and d-tetramethrin, respectively. The collected data showed that there were 38 different formulated products. The mixed formulation of esbiothrin and permethrin was the most effective product against a laboratory strain of Aedes aegypti, with the fastest KT50 value of 1 minute 29 seconds. However, permethrin has been used to control mosquito populations for many years and resistance to this insecticide has been found throughout Thailand. Therefore, this collected data is necessary and can help develop insecticide products for control of insecticide resistant mosquitoes.
