บทคัดย่อ (EN): This research aimed to study definitions, components, factors of occupational well-being of nurses after retirement with productive aging, using qualitative methods. The researcher conducted in-depth interviews with retired nurses and retired nursing lecturers who were employed full-time. The researcher used content analysis to analyze data. The results showed that definitions of nurses’ occupational well-being after retirement with productive aging could be divided in 2 dimensions. The first dimension was occupational well-being after retirement that benefits nurses as individuals. The second dimension was nurses’ occupational well-being after retirement benefits others and a society. The researcher categorized the major components of occupational well-being after retirement of with productive aging in 6 parts, namely, (1) values (2) emotions and feelings (3) personal development (4) physical (5) professional and (6) others such as family or spiritual support. In terms of contributing factors that affected retired nurses occupational well-being after retirement, the researcher identified 5 groups, namely, (1) values such as recognition (2) flexible times at work (3) dignity in work (4) personal development and (5) others such as family support, good relationships with colleagues, comfortable commute to work and an appropriate working place for the elderly. Recommendation: To receive occupational well-being after retirement, nurses should choose work that responds to their own needs in which working time is flexible and relevant to their life activities. The chosen work should also provide them opportunities to assist and benefit others, their communities and society. © 2017 American Scientific Publishers All rights reserved.
