บทคัดย่อ (EN): It is already well known that Asia can be mainly characterized by agriculture. Most of the countries in Asia are still relying on the economy more or less coming from agricultural production. Asia can be recognized as one of the rich region in natural resources production especially food. It is already agreed and announced officially in public that ASEAN Economic Community could be established in 2016. In this paper the strategic rice project concept is proposed as one of the most important core pillars for AEC to promote and vitalize Asian economy based on the overview what is going on globally around the world and which direction AEC should be going.
