บทคัดย่อ (EN): Leucaena leucocephala, Eucalyptus, cassava rhizome, and rice straw. It was found that the oxygen content in the torrefied biomass decreased whereas yields decreased with the increase in torrefaction temperature for all biomass types. Then, the torrefied biomass was pyrolysed at 550 C to produce bio-oils. The bio-oils were fractionated into light oil and heavy oil fractions which were analyzed by GC-MS to examine the effects of fractionation on the bio-oils properties. Even though the yield of bio-oils decreased after torrefaction, the light oil yields had increased. The bio-oils produced from torrefied biomass have less acidity and water content than that of raw biomass. This may imply that torrefaction can improve bio-oils properties prior to pyrolysis.
