บทคัดย่อ (EN): Corynespora leaf fall (CLF) disease of rubber caused by Corynespora cassiicola (Berk. & Curt.) Wei is one of the most important leaf diseases of Hevea worldwide and can reduce the full yield potential of rubber. The study evaluated the best management options against CLF disease of rubber caused by C. cassiicola using synthetic and biofungicides both in vitro and invivo. This was conducted in randomized complete block design (RCBD) both in protective and eradicative set ups. Five synthetic fungicides (Propineb, Chlorothalonil, Copper hydroxide, Manganese copper zinc and Bromate) and three biofungicides (AZ41, EM and LABS) exerted effective (E) to very effective (VE) fungicidal action against the test pathogen in vitro. Symptoms of infection in all treated plants manifested at 7 to 8 DAI and days to leaf fall of infected leaves ranged from 7 to 9 DAI. The number of days to flush new leaves after leaf fall ranged from 26 to 29 days and 21 to 23 days in the protective and eradicative set-up, respectively. Regardless of the fungicides applied, all treatment were rated very effective (VE) protectant/eradicant against C. cassiicola. Significantly lower final %DI from 1.56 to 4.69% (protective) and 6.25 to 15.63% (eradicative) and higher %DC from 92.51 to 98.08% (protective) and from 82.47% to 87.96% (eradicative) of the disease was observed. Higher disease reduction of CLF in rubber after four cycles of spray application of treatments at weekly interval was observed in Chlorthalonil, Bromate and LABS with %DR means ranging from 79.67% to 82.29% comparable to the effect of the two checks. Three synthetic fungicides (Peopineb, Chlorothlonil and Copper hydroxide) and one biofungicide (LABS) were not cost effective in controlling CLF disease of rubber seedlings in the nursery.
