บทคัดย่อ: การศึกษาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาการเตรียมการด้านเศรษฐกิจของประชากรวัย ก่อนสูงอายุ จำแนกตามลักษณะทางประชากร สังคม เศรษฐกิจ และพฤติกรรมสุขภาพในพื้นที่เฝ้า ระวังทางประชากรกาญจนบุรี และปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการเตรียมการด้านเศรษฐกิจ โดยใช้ข้อมูล ทุติยภูมิจากแบบสอบถามบุคคลของโครงการกาญจนบุรี พ.ศ. 2547 ซึ่งเก็บข้อมูลโดยสถาบันวิจัย ประชากรและสังคม มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ประชากรที่มีอายุตั้งแต่ 50-64 ปี จำนวน ทั้งสิ้น 4,040 คน ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การถดถอยแบบพหุลอจิสติค ผลการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลพบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีอายุเฉลี่ย 55 ปี ส่วนใหญ่มีเชื้อชาติไทย และยังอยู่กินกับคู่สมรส จบการศึกษาระดับประถมศึกษา อาศัยอยู่ในเขตชนบทและเป็นหัวหน้า ครัวเรือน เมื่อสูงอายุส่วนใหญ่ต้องการอาศัยอยู่กับบุตรและคู่สมรส ประกอบอาชีพเกษตรกรรม และมีฐานะทางเศรษฐกิจระดับปานกลาง สำหรับปัจจัยมีอิทธิพลต่อการเตรียมการด้านเศรษฐกิจ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ได้แก่ ปัจจัยทางประชากร คือ เพศ อายุ เชื้อชาติ สถานภาพสมรส การศึกษา การเป็นหัวหน้าครัวเรือน ความต้องการที่อยู่อาศัยเมื่อสูงอายุ ปัจจัยทางเศรษฐกิจ คือ หนี้สินครัวเรือนและดัชนีทรัพย์สินของครัวเรือน พฤติกรรมสุขภาพ คือ การสูบบุหรี่ การดื่ม แอลกอฮอล์ และการไม่ออกกำลังกาย ข้อเสนอแนะจากผลการวิจัย คือ ให้มีการส่งเสริมสนับสนุนให้ผู้สูงอายุมีงานทำตาม ความต้องการ และสนับสนุนให้ครอบครัวเป็นหลักในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุ
บทคัดย่อ (EN): This study aims to study economic preparation and analyze demographic, socioeconomic and health risk behavior factors influencing economic preparation of the elderly,by using secondary data from the Kanchanaburi Demographic Surveillance System in 2004, collected by the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University. 4040 elderly individuals aged 50-64 years were selected as the sample. Data was analyzed using multinomial logistic regression. The results of this study showed that the average age of this population is 55 years old. Most of the population are Thai and still living with their spouse. The majority of them have primary education, live in urban areas and are the household head. About 60% and 25% of elderly sample desired to live with their children and spouse, respectively. Almost all of them work in the agricultural sector and have a moderate economic status. Factors significantly influencing the economic preparation of the elderly are demographics (sex, age, nationality, marital status, education, being household head, elderly demand for housing), economics (household debt, household wealth index) and health risk behavior (smoking, drinking and no exercise). Suggestions from this study are to promote the elderly to work as long as they desire and to support the family to be the main caregiver
