บทคัดย่อ (EN): Hevea brasiliensis produces the main source of natural rubber for commercial use. Its latex is a living cytoplasm that is contained in the laticifer and simply known as latex vessel. Latex has two major component namely; rubber and non-rubber constituent. The non-rubber constituent comprises of various compounds such as proteins and carbohydrate. In this study, shotgun proteomics analysis using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), a gel free-based approach was implemented to decipher proteome content of fresh latex serum. Freshly tapped latex was fractionated using high speed centrifugation to obtain the desired serum. Total protein of the serum was then subjected to liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technique. All MA/MS spectra were searched using SEQUEST and proteins were identified using public database (NCBInr). By using this method, a snapshot of serum proteome was acquired. This study provides insights into Hevea latex serum proteome and would help to gain deeper understanding of metabolic and biological process that occurs in laticifer.
