บทคัดย่อ (EN): Modified anaerobic digestion with different kind of aeration techniques have been adopted by many raw rubber processing factories in Sri Lanka for the treatment factory effluent discharge. Comparatively higher anaerobic digestion is achieved by digesters incorporated with rubberized coir carrier medium. Aerobic digestion is carried out by mainly surface and submersible aeration techniques. Treatment efficiencies of these plants are found be effective comply with the Sri Lankan regulatory standards of effluent discharge and dependant on number of factors such as pH, Slime growth of the carrier matrix, nutrient level, Oxygenation capacity of aerators. This paper describes the long term performance of some the treatment plants installed in raw rubber factories in Sri Lanka based on the above technique.
