บทคัดย่อ (EN): After the large outbreak of Zika virus (ZIKV) since the beginning of 2016, many countries were concerned about virus spreading by mosquito bite. As flavivirus genus, clinical symptoms of ZIKV infection are similar to Dengue virus (DENV). Laboratory diagnosis of infected ZIKV patients has been following continuously. To reveal data of IgM and IgG antibody against ZIKV and DENV, 71 plasma or serum (53 cases) were collected from the 53 Zika rRT-PCR positive cases. The detection of IgM and IgG antibody against ZIKV by EUROIMMUN® ELISA kit and anti-dengue IgM/IgG by in-house capture ELISA were performed. The positive percentage of anti-Zika IgM and IgG were 30.2 (16/53 cases) and 100.0 (53/53 cases), respectively. The cross-reactive antibody from anti-dengue IgM and IgG were 9.1% (2/22 cases) and 18.2% (4/22 cases), respectively. Among anti-Zika IgM positive cases, only 4 from 16 have shown that the ratio of anti-Zika IgM and anti-Zika IgG were greater than 1.0. This study demonstrated the response of antibody among ZIKV infected patients in Thailand. Every patient has anti-Zika IgG while some have anti-Zika IgM. Nevertheless, there were cross reaction from anti-dengue IgM and IgG, development of diagnosis must be improved in the future.
