บทคัดย่อ (EN): The higher price of rubber has encouraged everyone to boost their rubber plantation. However, the expanded plantation goes far beyond the increasing number of skilled labour, causing the labour shortage. Many countries currently lack enough workers, and long-term sign is very worrying. There have been ongoing reports that the new generations show no interest in agricultural sector, including rubber plantation. Many of them are willing to move into the industrial sector, where they think they could have higher earning and more comfortable life. Rubber tapper shortage could worsen in coming years. This problem would be more worrying in the next 10 years. As for the solution on rubber labour shortages. Thailand solves the problem with supporting the new training program, making available for rapidly expanded rubber plantation . Technology adoption would be another way to tackle rubber labour shortage as it would lower the human labour force. Gas stimulation and ethephon stimulation were applied to the rubber trees on upper panel with upwords S/3, 5% ethephon, 68%and 99 % ethylene gas 4 times a month, taped once a week (d/6) comparison with ½sd/2 (control) Two years of trial showed that gas stimulation and ethephon stimulation with low frequency tapping increased tapping efficiency, remained normal in DRC and functional in yield, bark consumption was low.
