บทคัดย่อ (EN): The first proposal of breeding research in Cambodian Rubber Research Institute (CRRI) is to test clones selected in foreign countries and to find out the best suitable plant material. Breeding program restarted recently in Cambodia. Large scales clonal trials have been set up in CRRI. The study compares 29 clones on the growth and on the yield. The first results from these 4 Large Scale Clonal Trials confirm some other results issued in other countries, such as the good vigour of PB 235, PB 280, PB 330, IRCA 111, and IRCA 230 in the immature period. By contrast, PB 260, PB 314 and IRCA 109 appear not more vigorous than GT 1. The highest yielding clones in this early phase of tapping are IRCA 109, IRCA 111, IRCA 130, IRCA 209, IRCA 230, K1, PB 235, PB 314, PB 330, RRIC 101 and RRIM 712. These preliminary results are still insufficient for evaluating these clones in those trials. It must be underlined that the growth of PB 217 appears reasonably good for allowing the development of this clone in Cambodia. In this early phase, that PB 217 has not showed its high yield potential yet. PB 330 or IRCA 230 could be considered as the most interesting among the clones studied here for development in smallholdings.
