บทคัดย่อ (EN): The comparative studies on evapotranspiration of paddy field and different forest types in the northern Thailand based on Bowen ratio method were carried out during June 1997 to May 1999. The results found that the average annual daily actual evapotranspiration (ETa or AET) of paddy field was 3.3 mm while pan evaporation (Epan) was 4.8 mm. The annual ETa/Epan ratio was 0.7. The average annual daily ETa in mixed deciduous forest with dry dipterocarp (MDF) and teak plantation (TPT) was 3.7 and 3.6 mm respectively. The average annual daily ETa of other agricultural areas such as cotton field (CTF), banana orchard (BNO), sugarcane field (SGF) and sapodilla orchard (SPO) were 4.8, 2.7, 5.0 and 4.6 mm respectively.The significant prediction models of daily ETa derived from recorded data for PDF, MDF, TPT and CTF are as follows:PDF : AETIRP = -9.535+0.534Ta-0.020RH (R sup(2)=0.85, F=107.14**, MSE=0.190)PDF : AETORP = -9.460+0.364Ta-0.203WS+0.019RH (R sup(2)=0.83, F=30.27**, MSE=0.110)MDF : AETANF = -1.463+0.199Ta-4.575pF (R sup(2)=0.77, F=29.05**, MSE=0.740)TPT : AETANT = -7.217+0.481Ta-0.939pF (R sup(2)=0.80, F=34.35**, MSE=0.270)CTF : AETWPC = -7.069+0.596Ta-0.068RH (R sup(2)=0.94, F=50.41**, MSE=0.130)Where Ta, RH and pF are daily air temperature (deg C), daily humidity (%) and daily soil moisture tension (ununit) respectively. There are no significant prediction model for estimation daily ETa for BNO, SGF and SPO. The continue measurement in each land use type is needed for more accuracy in model formulation.
