บทคัดย่อ (EN): The development of networking for both production and marketing of small farm holders could be strengthened in terms of quantitative and qualitative production network for purebred Pradu-Hangdum Chiang Mai chicken (raising system of parent stocks on a free range for chicken to feed on naturally available materials) and hybrid birds (use of incubator to increase efficiency) as supported by the community market to increase production efficiency in response to the demand for live birds by ethnic minority groups that amount to 274,073 birds/year and the demand for slaughtered birds at 11,800 birds/year. But then farmers were only able to produced live birds at an average of 7.58% and could not produced more than that at all. The farmers, therefore, decided to joined as a group and together planned their production and marketing activities based on the production calendar. By this, some farmers had the duty to produce the chicks, sold them to other farmers in the network for them to raise the chickens as broilers at 300-500 birds/batch with each farmer raising the chicken at an interval of 2 weeks interval and controlling the production quantity by stretching or hastening the period of rearing the birds. In addition, some farmers had the duty to collect all the products from the farmers in the network and sold them in retail and delivered them to the consumers (ethnic minority groups and other consumers in the community) and also to a few middlemen. From the results of farmers’ grouping to produce Pradu-Hangdum and joint marketing planning, farmers were able to produce 51,500 live birds (18.79% or an increase of 11.21%) and also able to producer slaughtered birds at 7,900 birds/year (66.95%).
