บทคัดย่อ (EN): The growth of Cordyceps spp. on the larvae and pupae of the Thai silkworm,Bombyx mori, DukBua was investigated. Four Cordyceps strains; Cordyceps militaris 17944, C.militaris 17991, C. militaris 18247, Paecilomyces tenuipes 27814 were used as the test subjects.Beauveria bassiana, the entomopathogenic fungi was used as a positive control. The myceliumof the Cordyceps and their anamorph were grew on the SDA for 5 days and were transferred onsticky rice, vividly rice, brown rice, and intensity rice mixed with pupae powder of Thai silkworm,DukBua and yolk These fungal inoculation were incubated at 24-25?C with 80-90% humidity forthe fungal growth for 12 days. The result showed the structure of mycelium of 4 strains ofCordyceps spp. and B. bassaina were produced septate hyphae. The highest growth ofmycelium was observed in C. militaris 18247 , C. militaris 17944, and P. tenuipes , respectively.And we found that vividly rice mixed with pupae powder and yolk was the best for mycelialpropagation. The cordycepin was extracted and it was found about 49 mg/ml in C. militaris18247 , C. militaris 17944, and P. tenuipes. The results were suggested that this information willbe useful for the further goal to use the cordycepin for the precursor of medicine or for thesupplementary.
