บทคัดย่อ: ภาคนิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมการใช้สมุนไพรชองของประชาชนในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรี วิธีการศึกษาใช้การวิจัยแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed Method) ระหว่างการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจและการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจศึกษาจากกลุ่มตัวอย่างประชาชนที่มีสิทธิ์เลือกตั้ง ในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรี จำนวน 384 คน ส่วนการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพใช้การสัมภาษณ์แบบเจาะลึกและการสังเกตการณ์แบบมีส่วนร่วม ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พฤติกรรมการใช้สมุนไพรชองของกลุ่มตัวอย่างในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรี ในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับนาน ๆ ครั้ง โดยสามารถเรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ สมุนไพรรักษากลุ่มอาการระบบทางเดินหายใจ สมุนไพรรักษากลุ่มโรคทางเดินอาหาร สมุนไพรรักษากลุ่มโรคผิวหนัง สมุนไพรรักษาโรคอื่น ๆ และสมุนไพรรักษากลุ่มโรคระบบทางเดินปัสสาวะ ตามลำดับ ปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อพฤติกรรมการใช้สมุนไพรชองในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรีในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับค่อนข้างเห็นด้วยโดยสามารถเรียงลำดับจากมากไปหาน้อย ได้แก่ ความสะดวกสบายในการใช้ยาสมุนไพร ราคาที่เหมาะสมในการดูแลสุขภาพ ความพึงพอใจในการใช้สมุนไพรรักษาโรค ประสิทธิผลในการรักษาโรคด้วยสมุนไพรและวัฒนธรรมในการใช้ยาสมุนไพร ตามลำดับ สำหรับข้อเสนอแนะของการอนุรักษ์สมุนไพรชองในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรี สามารถเรียงลำดับความสำคัญของความต้องการของกลุ่มตัวอย่างได้แก่ การสนับสนุนให้หมู่บ้านชองเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ด้านสมุนไพรที่สำคัญ การจัดตั้งชมรมสมุนไพรชองในอำเภอเขาคิชฌกูฏ จังหวัดจันทบุรี การจัดการส่งเสริมให้มีการขยายพันธุ์สมุนไพรชอง การจัดงบประมาณของรัฐในการฟื้นฟูสมุนไพรชอง การเพิ่มช่องทางการประชาสัมพันธ์ให้ประชาชนทั่วไปเห็นถึงภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้านชองกับการรักษาโรคด้วยสมุนไพรชอง การจัดงบประมาณให้มีการฟื้นฟูขนบธรรมเนียมชนชาติพันธุ์ชอง การเพิ่มวิธีทำผลิตภัณฑ์เกี่ยวกับสมุนไพรชองในรูปแบบต่าง ๆ การจัดการส่งเสริมรายได้โดยการจัดให้มีตลาดนัดสมุนไพรชองเป็นประจำ และการจัดให้มีสมุนไพรชองในบัญชีรายชื่อของยาสามัญประจำบ้าน ตามลำดับ
บทคัดย่อ (EN): The objective of this research was to study the use of traditional herbal remedies by the ethnic Chong people of Khaokitchakut District, Chanthaburi Province. The mixed methods approach of qualitative and quantitative research were used. The sample of 384 qualified voters was determined by the number of people who responded to the survey. The quantitative portion of the research consisted of in-depth interviews and participatory observation. An overview of the survey results show that the use of traditional herbal remedies by ethnic Chong people was at the infrequent level. The most frequently used herbal remedies were used to treat respiratory ailments. The second most frequently used herbal remedies were used for gastrointestinal tract ailments and skin diseases. The third most frequently used herbal remedies were for miscellaneous diseases and urinary tract infections. An overview of the survey results show that the ethnic Chong people somewhat agree with the use of traditional herbal remedies. The highest rated factor for their use was convenience. The second highest rated factors were: reasonable price, satisfaction, good effects, and the culture of using herbal remedies. The following recommendations were recorded to address the needs of the ethnic Chong people: promotion of the ethnic Chong Village as a learning center for essential herbs, organization of a Chong herb club, cultivation of Chong herbs, use of government budgetary funds to restore Chong herbs, increase public awareness by using various publicity channels, allocation of budgetary funds to strengthen Chong traditions, creation of various Chong herbal products, increase income by regularly organizing the Chong herb market and formal recognition of Chong herbal remedies as a household medicine.
