บทคัดย่อ (EN): Zika virus, a positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus belonging to the genus Flavivirus of the family Flaviviridae is transmitted by mosquitoes of the Aedes species. The first virus was identified in a sentinel rhesus monkey in the Zika forest region of Uganda in 1947 and the first human case was reported in 1954 in Nigeria. Analysis of the viral genomic sequences can reveal the genetic divergence and provide insights to the evolution of the virus. Here; using Next Generation Sequencing, we presented the whole-genome sequence of Zika virus strain DMSc05684-16, isolated from the plasma of patients collected in Thailand in 2016. The full-length genome sequence of Zika virus strain DMSc05684-16 comprised 10,793 nucleotides (GenBank accession no. MH119185.1). Phylogenetic analysis showed geographic-specific clustering belonged to the Asian lineage.
