บทคัดย่อ (EN): Rubber prices in the last two years are at a low level so that some rubber plantations had lower profit margins. Solutions to overcome the problem can be done through two approaches, namely an increase in production and a decrease in cost of production. Increased production can be done through the use of stimulant. Ethylene gas stimulant had been proven to increase the production more effectively compared with liquid stimulant, but the cost becomes higher. Tapping system with the proper use of gas stimulants could help in achieving optimum production. Additional increased production could be used to cover the cost of gas stimulant applications, and even it could increase profits. Sircle Cutting System (SCS) is a tapping system based mechanical tapping and using ethylene gas stimulants. SCS application purpose is to increase production and lower the cost of production. SCS test preliminary research conducted at the Research Centre of Getas, using a randomized block design with four treatments and two replications tapping system, using four clones that were PR 261, PB 260, RRIC 100, and BPM 24. Tapping systems treatments were: (i) S/2D d5. (control), (ii) CC d5 without ethylene gas, (iii) SCS d5. ETG 99% (6/m), and (iv) SCS d5. ETG 99% (3/m). The results showed that the tapping SCS system could increase production at some rubber clones. The highest production was achieved by using tapping system SCS d5.ETG99% (6/m) on BPM24 clones with an average production of 91.3 g/tree/tapping (GTT), while the controls with GTT of 23 so that there is an increase of 297%. The highest profit was achieved by using tapping system SCS d5. ETG 99% (3/m) in PB 260 clones with an average of Rp 789.00/tree/tapping, while the control Rp 219.00/tree/tapping resulting in profit increased of 260%. This indicated that the SCS was prospective to be developed as an effort to increase production and profits.
