บทคัดย่อ (EN): The objective of this study was to determine the effects of heat load condition on the dry matter intake (DMI), nutrient digestibility and rectal temperature and respiration rate of male Bos indicus (Thai native, n = 4) cattle. Studies was carried out to compare between low temperature (LT) and high temperature (HT) season in Northeast Thailand. The DMI in HT was not different (P > 0.05) compared with that in LT, whereas the dry matter digestibility in HT was higher (P < 0.01). The effect of heat load condition did not affect on the rectal temperature (P > 0.05). The respiration rate of animals was higher (P < 0.01) in HT. These results suggested that Thai native male cattle could maintain thermal equilibrium under the heat load condition in this study by the initiation of the heat dissipation activity. However, it was also suggested that the capacity of heat tolerant was different among individual animals because the effect of individual animals and the interaction (season × animal) effect were shown on the rectal temperature (P < 0.01).
