บทคัดย่อ (EN): Indigenous chickens have socio-economic roles in Bhutan. Almost every family keeps chickens for household consumption. Generally, chickens are reared with less or no inputs and hence, classified as backyard system. Poor nutrition, lack of proper shelter and inadequate health control are responsible to bird’s mortality. Therefore, there is a need to explore and address constraints to increase the poultry products from indigenous chickens and as the same to encourage famers to keep indigenous birds.
