บทคัดย่อ (EN): The change of order in construction work is commonly found in constructions of flood protection project in Thailand. It impacts a construction project in many ways. This research studied strategies used in change order management in the construction of flood protection project in the governmental work in which they can be used to manage order changes more efficiently. This research was conducted through the use of questionnaire. A total of 125 respondents were people in organizations concerning the construction of flood protection project in the governmental work. The five changes of order with high frequency and severity indices are changes in the use of areas, addition of tasks outside the scope of contract, changes for beauty, conflict resolution of each system, and changes to increase quality. Based on the strategic management of change order, it can be concluded that the three most efficient levels are the selection of experienced construction consultants, selection of experienced designers, and conduct of drawings. The research also concluded appropriate solutions for managing different types of change orders. Finally, the research offered a guideline for change order management in construction of flood protection project in the governmental work.
