บทคัดย่อ (EN): Different clones of rubber that are high yielding and classified as latex-timber were evaluated in Kabacan and Agusan del Sur. The purpose is to enhance production of rubber through adaption of suitable clones to replace the old and low yielding clones. Specifically, it aims to determine the performance of different rubber clones under different locations in Mindanao, showcase production technology for the adaption of rubber stakeholders, evaluate the growth and yield including its resistance to major pests and diseases performance, and identify problems and constraints of growing rubber in traditional and non-traditional areas in the country. Three experimental sites were established; one at USM and two in the farmer’s field located in Agusan del Sur. Randomized complete block design was used in the study replicated four times. Sixteen (16) sample trees were planted at a distance of 2.5 meters within the row and 8.0 m between rows. Two locations were considered in Agusan. The first was in a 1.5 ha which consists of 12 high yielding latex timber (HYLT) clones planted in January 2013. The clones included were 10 new Malaysian clones of RRIM 2000 series and PB 350 with three control clones RRIM 600, PB 260 and USM 1. The second location was in a 1.3 ha consisting of ten HYLT clones planted in December 2013. The clones included were seven Malaysian clones, one Thai clone, and with the same control clones. The initial findings of Malaysia on the suitability of these clones in wide range may attain the same result in the Philippines because all clones were observed to be suitable in all areas. No diseases or insect pest prevalence were observed in all experimental trees. Plant height and stem girth were taken every six months after planting. Another trial was established at USM in August 2014 consisting of 11 HYLT clones. Data were gathered on percent budding success, and initial data on girth and plant height of the different rubber clones.
