บทคัดย่อ (EN): Four Thai native bulls (299 kg) were arranged according to 4X4 Latin Square Design. The cattle was fed with plicatulum hay ad libitum. The concentrate treatments composed of sago palm pith (SPP) at 0.75%BW with 4 different levels of soybean meal (SBM): 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.00%BW (T1, T2, T3 and T4, respectively). The DMI, OMI in terms of SPP+SBM and total DMI and OMI were not significantly different among treatments, but the values were significantly (P<0.05) higher for T3 than T1 group. The CPI from SPP+SBM and total CPI were lowest in T1, followed by T2, T4 and T3, respectively. No significant differences among treatments regarding digestibility coefficient of DM, OM, NDF and ADF were found. The DE and ME were lowest in T1 than the other treatments. N retention was lowest in T1 , followed by T2, T3 and T4, but no significant differences among treatments were found. In conclusion, providing SBM at 0.25%BW and SPP at 0.75%BW, might be an appropriate ratio for Thai native cattle consuming plicatulum hay.
